Europe to Deport Illegals
Evian, July. 6. (AP): Five major European powers plan to jointly ship illegal
immigrants back home in a single plane that makes stops in each of their
countries, French Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy announced on Tuesday.
"Together ... we will organize airplanes to repatriate illegal immigrants
from Britain, Spain, Germany, France and Italy," Sarkozy told a news conference
on the final day of talks between the group of Interior Ministers, known as the
Group of Five.
The plan will allow the five countries to combine political
and financial efforts to control illegal immigration, Sarkozy said, adding that
the joint repatriation effort was proposed by Spanish Interior Minister Jose
Antonio Alonso.
The Ministers said aircraft would tour the five countries to
pick up illegal immigrants of the same nationality and return them to their
countries of origin.
Putting the planes into service "is a question of days," Italian Interior Minister Guiseppe Pisanu said.
Sarkozy, who was presiding over the talks in the French spa town of Evian, said on Europe-1 radio Tuesday that he had proposed a "ceiling" on the number of immigrants accepted annually by the five countries.
"Immigration is not a problem on one condition _ that it is controlled," he said.
Expulsions of illegal immigrants from France are up 50 percent over last year, he added.
Sarkozy said the ministers also agreed to harmonize conditions to ensure that immigrants who gain permission to stay are able to bring their families over to join them.
He proposed an annual debate in the French parliament on immigration, and
suggested the four other European countries do the same.
"Why? Because we want the best students in the world in our countries and not those that nobody wants," he said.
Holy Toledo, what is happening to this world? The Eurocrates are tougher on illegals than we are. Shouldn't this be awake a wake up call for our politicians.
On Feb 9 2005, Rep. Nathan Deal (R-GA) introduced H.R. 698, the Citizenship Reform Act of 2005. Despite the exigencies of our security situation, this bill is still being shuffled around by the subcommittees, and has only 33 cosponsors so far. The bill is aimed at clarifying the 14 the Amendment to deny birthright citizenship to children of parents who are not citizens or permanent resident aliens. Needless to say, I think that we should raise a ruckus to get this bill on the floor & voted into law.
Meanwhile, the Huston Police Department has been ordered by The Metropolitan Organization- an interfaith grass-roots political action group- to not protect the private property of a business owner on North Shepherd, who had recently complained that illegal day laborers were trespassing on his property. The officers assigned to the case, in order to dissuade the trespassers, took photos of them to remind them that they had been given a warning the day before.
Broderick Bagert, an organizer for the TMO is quoted as saying, "that the police were going to be intimidating workers. It was seen as a real step back. So we were very concerned about it".
No word on how concerned Mr. Begert is, about the violation of the right to private property or the loss of jobs for American citizens, or the threat to our national security posed by illegals.

It's time we looked askance at the homegrown despots who are obstructing the workings of our democracy & violating the rights of its citizens. Regime change begins at home!

there are half a million illegal immigrants in the uk. i guess it's more in the usa. no wonder we have security issues! and it's nothing to do with race. even if these people were all white i'd like to know exactly who is here.
thanks for the link up btw! and yeah no one i now was hurt on thursday although a friend of a friend was on the bus infront of the one that got hit.

Seriously, though, Mwalimu is right: if we tried this here, the ACLU, NAACP, CAIR, and every other 'civil rights' group in the country would come crawling out of the woodwork to decry it as racist.
Grrrr....
What property rights? The Supreme Court just got done ruling that we don't have them anymore.
why can't we affect this type of policy? since we are primarily an immigrant nation, there are too many peoples legally here of differing nationalities to constructively unite enough people to stand up and say no more. only a cataclysmic attack will do that.
Yes, I couldn't believe this eigther when I read it. If the Euros can do this why can't we?
Chris, I am not sure that I believe that it is not possibble for us to unite despite the differences in heritage, especially after 9/11. I know a lot of legal immigrants, why are far more opposed to illegal immigration than native born Americans because of the problems illegals create for the legals.
IMHO it is merely a matter of political will more than anything eles. We need politicians with backbone, who can stand up being called rascists as Mwalimu said, & give good reasons for why they are not.
Better check that against the costs to hospitals, jails and prisons in border states. The cost is enormous as a percentage of total state expenditures.
"IMHO it is merely a matter of political will more than anything eles. We need politicians with backbone."
I can agree with that, however there are enough screaming voices among the legal immigrant community who cry racist that keep us from achieving unity. I am simply saying that one of our greatest strengths (cultural diversity) is also our weakness when it comes to immigration policy. Too many afraid to offend the differing potential voting blocks.
"I believe that the illegal immigrants are less of a burden on our economy that you think."
This is not entirely the point, though I admit that I get very impatient with the idea that I have to pay taxes to support people who are in my country illegally.
The real point in our post-9/11 world is that illegal immigrants may also include terrorists. Either we get tough with this problem and seal the border, or we risk letting Osama in with a suitcase nuke.
What Western Europe should wake up to is that what made what they are today is the strenghth of the people already there. Waves of immigrants are not building a better tomorrow, they are sapping the strength of Europe. Most immigrants, not all, bring more problems than assets.
It is noticable that the countries that these people come from do not allow immigration, and in many case have ethnically cleansed whites from their societies.
Why do we permit a mass of people who might harm us, or side with our enemies?
It's estimated that CA spends 10 billion on illegal immigrants. That's 10% of the CA budget. If CA could eliminate 10% of the taxes you'd bet that CA's economy would do better. So... "burden on our economy"? yes.
There are other factors. Like, how much goods and services cost. But the exact OPPOSITE side of that equation is how much the market place will bear for wages and salaries. So the two are weighting each other down. You only brought in one side and didn't look at what the market place will bear for wages and salaries to the good citizens of America.
Stainsteelcrown, hello & welcome. Thank-you for disagreeing in an intelligent & civil manner. Those such as you are always invited to visit my blog.
However, I must ask you, do you really believe that there are no Americans who are willing to flip burgers & mow lawns. As little as ten years ago a majority of the lawn care people in my nieghborhhod were Anerican citizens.
Also, why can't we enourage teens to work more than they do now. When I was in high school, I wanted a laptop, not because I needed it, I just wanted it. So, my parents said that I had to earn at least 50% of the money for it. Therefore, I spent that summer flipping burgers & asking would you like fires with that. It was a real eye opener for me. I think that working makes kids less bratty & helps then value what they have more, in addition to teaching them responsibility. This is hardly a bad thing.
Also, as many of you guys point out, the security concerns outweigh all others.
Shipwrecks, you said:
"The French don't deport illegals do they? I thought they just put them in camps in northern France, and let them escape to Britain."
LOL. Maybe we could do that with Canada, and include a couple of moonbats in the package while you're at it.
you can make extra cash! I made over $800 last month. Not bad for not doing much. Just put in your
zip code and up will pop up a list of places that are available. I live in a small area and found quite
a few. MAKE MONEY NOW
