Response to Bob Herbert NYT column
Bob Herbert recent column in the NYT has given, as an example of why some desert the military, the story of a soldier, Adian Delgado, who worked in Abu Ghraib. Mr. Delgado, who asks for Conscientious Objector status, recounts tales of horrific abuse & over reaction on the part of military guards towards the detainees. Of course Mr. Herbert does not bother to present the accounts of other service members in his column. This post (hat tip NRO Corner) offers the account of another witness to the incident. The views are entirely different.
